Since Dissidia will be out soon, I thought I'd post this up.
Terra (or Tina, if you prefer) has always been one of my favourite characters. This is largely inspired by Tetsuya Nomura's intepretation of her for Dissidia. I don't know if I'll buy Dissidia due to my lack of a PSP, but I've certainly enjoyed the concept art for it.
I couldn't decide between fair or green hair for Terra. I did two versions but ended up posting this one instead.
The background sort of looks like a canyon, I suppose, with the ridge in the background etc. Note to self though - never paint a Magitek ever again ^^

I don't use one, not for a long time anyway. I used to use them for the backgrounds (like the KOS-MOS V2 one) but I was determined to be able to paint them myself. While I still have a ways to go on that front, I never use them for anything else. ^^
Ah...right. I personally love to paint realism... uh semi-realism. I too have a long way to go on that front. Tell me, is Painter worth it? To invest in I mean? I dally about in CS3, and I was wondering if Painter is any different?

I know what you mean, though I'm influenced by manga I try to keep a real sense to my drawings.
I have a scaled down version of Painter and I use it mostly for landscapes. The different tools sometimes give useful effects (palette knife etc) and I think anyone who was used to painting on canvas would pick it up real fast. I find it difficult to blend the colours sometimes, but that's probably because I've relied on Photoshop's brushes for so long.
You have a wonderful sense of light in your drawings. I love the way you paint the sky. I've only been drawing seriously for 4 years, so I still have tons to learn.
